On Thursday, May 28th we raised our glasses in a toast to four of our original dealers who retired at the end of month. Ruth Brooks, Jeanne Jackson, Patsy McDonald and La Taylor have been part of our family here at Lovers Lane Antique Market since we opened in September 1992. They have contributed a great deal to the success of our Market and we will miss them.
Bette Dickinson and Faye Ballard have been dealers in our shop for over 20 years. World travelers and shoppers, they buy 18th & 19th C. English and French antiques from contacts in both countries. Bette and Faye have a love for and knowledge of English porcelains & Japanese Imari and English & French Country furniture.
Our talented dealer, Melissa Woody was recently nominated for The Rising Star Award by the nonprofit Accessories Resource Team in recognition for innovation and excellence of a home-industry company. We recognized that Melissa was a “rising star” when we invited her to join our shop many years ago. We are proud to showcase her exquisite lamps fashioned with great detail and beautiful custom lamp shades. Her shop at Lovers Lane Antique Market is filled with her custom lamps, carefully chosen antiques and wonderful decorative items.
